Sign up to be a Safe Shopper! Not in My Cart sticker

This year as you hit the shops you will join 30,000 others in our campaign to make you and your loved ones safe.

Take a look at the highlights of the 12 Days of Safe Shopping kick-off where we held four simultaneous events in Chicago, Minneapolis, Boston and New York! And hold your own event!

Consumers Union staff, local organizations, and people just like you will be wearing "Get the Lead Out this Holiday Season" shirts, handing out stickers, talking to local media and just spreading the message about shopping safe this holiday. There will be tons of parents, kids, grandparents, and other concerned shoppers.

If you would like to come to the events, call the on the ground organizer to let them know.

You can also still sign up to receive a Safe Shopper kit in the mail. It’s easy! Here’s how it works:

Everyone who signs up will receive a free “Safe Shopper Coupon Book” in the mail with information to give to each store where you shop. See a sneak peek of the coupons (PDF)
If you tell three friends after signing up, you will also get a free sticker like the one pictured here to wear while you shop.
Or meet with a group (and Consumers Union staff) in specific cities around the country and wear free "Get the Lead Out" tee-shirts, hand out materials and talk with the local media! Just answer "YES" to Question #3.
