This Thursday is Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Have we got a task for them!

One of our most basic jobs as citizens is to make our views known to our elected representatives on important issues that we care about.  And what can be more important than the safety of what we eat?

We suggest that you ask your child to write President Barack Obama and ask him to keep our peanut butter safe!  Even better, ask them to illustrate the letter with a drawing!

How it works:

  1. Have your child write a letter to the President.
Click here to see examples of letters or click here for instructions and templates(PDF).
  2. Fill out the form below to let us know your child did it.
Send photos or scans of your child’s letter and artwork to notinmyfood@consumersunion.org
  3. Help us spread the word.
Click here to use fun graphics on your blog or social network.
  4. Tell your friends and family!
